A few weeks ago I went for a walk at a nearby park, after a couple of minutes of walking around it came to my attention that the hills were flat, the paths were wide and it was a perfect opportunity for me to start running.
It's going pretty well, and I've kept up my schedule of running every 2 days since I've started. When it rains I get on a gym treadmill, when it's hot I'll go out early and slather myself in sunscreen.
I use an app called Couch to 5K or something, which is great since idk how to pace myself with running, it basically tells you to run for a few minutes, then walk, then run, then cooldown etc... and gets more and more difficult until you can run 5KM without stopping.
